Marketing Strategy Speech

Arlington, Texas — The President/CEO of Decision Analyst, Inc., Jerry W. Thomas, will speak May 15, at the American Marketing Association's luncheon meeting in Dallas. His topic will be “The Strategy of Attack,” a look at the central concepts that underlie winning marketing strategies. Based on his more than 30 years of experience as a marketing research consultant to major corporations, Thomas will reveal what he sees as the secrets to successful marketing strategies. He will illustrate the presentation with a number of real world examples of successful strategic campaigns, as well as illustrations of failed strategies.

“The absence of good, solid strategic thinking is the single greatest weakness of most major U.S. corporations,” according to Thomas. “And the problem continues to worsen. The current corporate fad of `re-engineering' and `downsizing' is largely a consequence of poor marketing strategy, a short-term focus, and inept management. The same companies that are laying people off today will be scrambling to hire new people--at enormous costs--12 months from now. It's a circus out there in corporate America.”

If you are interested in attending the luncheon, please call 214.233.9107 to make reservations. The meeting will be at the Dallas Medallion Hotel located on the northwest corner of LBJ and Midway in north Dallas. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., lunch at 12:00 noon, and the speech at 12:30 p.m. The program will conclude by 1:15 p.m.
